Sometimes we need a room of our own so that we may share ourselves freely. Our joys, our struggles; all that which deserves space, time, and a community to be within. This circle welcomes all queers.

Queer: Both identity and paradigm of thought, not strictly what is done in the sheets or assumed beneath our clothes. Queer as moving/thinking/seeing beyond dominant social constructs towards a collective experience of self-agency, love, and liberation.

Whether you consider yourself a writer or not, your voice will be held here.

Together we will co-create a brave and safe enough space from which our creativity will be inspired, honored, and celebrated. Andrea and Li love the liberatory practice of writing and experience great joy in facilitating writing circles which center those often marginalized. We can’t wait to have you in our circle.

Queer adults (18+) of all genders are welcome.

Li Meuser is a full-time student of being fully human, and is deeply passionate about connecting and interrelating. As a somatic therapist, integrative primary prevention trainer, and a creative writing facilitator, Li utilizes transformational and wisdom-based practices in supporting people with their somatic intelligence/energies. In learning how to embody our creativity, we are able to consciously choose to discover, move into and remember the realms of inter-dependency and liberation for all.

Andrea M. Sterling is a Bloomington transplant by way of Providence, Rhode Island. Facilitation is in her heart, body, and soul—whether that’s in a traditional classroom, a poetry night in a dimly lit bar, or contracted workshops across the country as a DEI/Transformative Justice consultant. Black feminism saved her life long ago and continues to motivate her to keep practicing a radical love ethic and building communities of care and transformation. Andrea has hosted the Bloomington Poetry Slam for the last several years alongside her co-organizers Daniel “Sully” Sullivan and DJ GoodPeoples.

As Covid-19 continues to be part of our lives, our sincere desire is to protect and care for each other and our wider community.   Please click here for our current safety protocols.
